Exercise 98
Exercise 95
This exercise also helped me because when I was typing my second draft I noticed that some of my time line events didn't make sense to what was going on to the plot which was confusing me. So when I came to this exeercise I decided to write all the scenes out first then reconect them with transitions sentences which in the end my story easier to follow and I was able to take out those confusing events that I didn't even need in my story.
Exercise 89
I have to say this exercise really helped me in making my story add a bit more detail and opening up the plot a little better. When I was writing my first draft I noticed that I had mostly summarized what the main character was looking at instead of giving the scene more detail and giving the reader something to visualize.
After doing this particular exercise I notice that my scenes in the story were becoming more realistic and interesting to read. The exercise on page 225 also gave me a chance to do add some more dialogue to my story which also gave it more detail.
The Skeleton Exercise
It was in the middle of Kyle’s last class, and was the end of the day. Kyle was very hungry. Not paying attention in class John was startled by a voice.
“So what’s the answer Kyle, Mrs. Field asked”.
Not playing attention John had a smart ass answer. “The answer to what?”
“Detention, the teacher replied”.
Muttering in his mind, Kyle knew he would have to wait even longer now to get a snack. After the class bell rang, and Kyle left the class room he gathered his books and started walking toward to detion hall until...
He was suddenly pushed by the school bully. “Loser, Eric shouted”.
With his books now scattered everywhere Kyle started to pick them up until he heard a voice.
“Want some help; it was Jenna his school crush.”
“Sure, Said John in a high pitches voice”.
After his books were picked up she quietly said bye. Before Jenna left Kyle finally got the courage he wanted to do for a long time.
“Jenna, John asked?”
“Yes.”
“Want to get some ice cream later?”
“Yes, she replied with a smile.”
“See after you get of detetion, she said smiling.”
“OK.”
As they departed Kyle walked to detention hall having to wait another 45 minutes to get some food. After Kyle finally got out of detention he met up with Jenna and the two headed towards the ice cream parlor. The two ordered and Kyle’s stomach was finally cured of hunger!

Exercise 43-45
" Have a good day at work". My mom said.
"OK, thanks". I said.
After I headed out the door I started my car and headed towards work. As I pull into the grounds department at Midland Public School I walk into the break room and hear several voices.
"Hi"!
"Hello"!
"Sup"!. Several workers said.
"Hi"! I responded.
As seven approach I could see my boss coming into the break room to give us all the work where suppose to do for the day. My boss however, likes to go on random rants and usually likes to talk about the Red Wings and started talking about them.
" Did anyone catch the Red Wings game last night"? My boss said."
" No, did they lose"? I asked.
" No, they won damn it!" My boss said in a laughing tone.
"Wow, I'm shock a Michigan team that wins." I said.
" Alex, that's a bunch of bullshit, Joe said in a laughing tone.
As everyone laughed Joe told us what to do for the day and we were all off to work.
